My mom and I often have the conversation about the possibility of rules on the other side of the veil. Haven’t you ever wondered why answers are so indirect and not to the point? Often times when we ask spirits or gods/goddesses for answers, we never get it spelled out for us. Never just plain and simple. Very rarely do witches, investigators, or even true psychics get the answers to the questions they are asking. It makes me wonder if in the grand scheme of things we aren’t supposed to have the answers. You’d think that a spirit would want to tell us things, like where their body is buried or who killed them or where the money is hidden…if they could.
Maybe in the bigger picture there are things that our brains can’t comprehend, or on the other side it really just doesn’t matter. Everyone thinks they have the answers to where we go. A good portion of people are convinced that they are 100% correct, but I truly think that people have to believe these things in order to compartmentalize the fear that comes with knowing that we will someday cease to exist in our current form. Obviously I do believe that there is something out there after we die, but I think there is some cosmic law that prohibits spirits from sharing this information with us, or at this point we’d be able to have this information. I also wonder if it is the same forces that prevent us from proving that ghosts are real. Let’s face it. We still can’t scientifically prove it. We have evidence supporting us (sometimes) but as far as science, we can still really only call it a pseudo-science. Our experiences don’t count as proof. They’re impossible to recreate over and over. Part of me hopes that someday we will be able to prove it, but part of me is scared of the answers…but most of me wants the proof!
