The Blue Room

Last year I got to help make a horror short with my close friends! The idea stemmed at one of our writing groups and took off from there. We’re all huge fans of David Lynch & anything strange and unusual, so of course the movie is too. Jesse Livingston is the mastermind behind the Blue Room and really put everything together so well.

The Final Product!

The experience of working with my friends and bringing the whole idea into reality was such an incredibly rewarding experience. My role was as the production manager and as the wife of Chen, so I got to be on both sides of the camera.

Personally, my biggest challenge was finding a location. So many places charge an arm & a leg…& a kidney too which is difficult for a small budget. We did end up finding the perfect location…and then the perfect actors, and everything just fell into place from there.

I’m really excited to be able to share this with people. Trying new things is probably one of my favorite parts about being alive, and this is one of those new things I’m so happy I tried. I’ll never be a Hollywood actress or film maker, but I can say I’ve made a short film and will always be so proud of all the work my friends and I put into it. Twin Peaks brought us all together. I’m very thankful it did.

Update!

Clearly I’ve taken a little hiatus.   There has been so much going on, and I have experienced some level of burn out with everything, including many of the things I usually enjoy doing. It’s been really hard.

As 2020 is approaching I’m hoping I will find some spark again to discuss paranormal things, and maybe move my writing more towards some horror themes since my monthly podcast focuses on the paranormal! I don’t want to get too repetitive and would like some room to write about more than ghosts, sometimes.

Some other big news, I’ve officially departed from Code 3 Paranormal and have joined Prism Colorado! I’m super excited for this change and have already enjoyed working with Prism very much.  The paranormal community can be filled with so much gossip and toxic behavior, so I’m very glad to be working with a group of respectable & professional people (No, that’s not directed previous my team at all. Go check out their new podcast!).  If you are part of the community, and can do nothing but talk crap about other people instead of trying to work together then you are part of the problem and should take a good hard look at yourself.

Anyways, I hope you all are having a FANTASTIC end of the year and that 2020 begins the best decade of your life.

I’ll be back with the Paranormal Princess Podcast in January which will still be under the Punk Rock Horror Podcast, but will now be easier to find and download my episodes. If anyone wants to jump on with me or share ideas on episodes you’d like to hear, please let me know. It would mean a lot.

Anyways, have a SPOOKY Christmas. Greetings from Krampus.
